In 2015, our team formed from the core of Australia's financial, legal, and regulatory fields, banded together with a single mission: to simplify AFSL compliance. Our collective experience not only highlighted just how unnecessarily complex navigating AFSL compliance obligations is, but also ignited our passion for streamlining the process for Australian Financial Services Licence and Australian Credit Licence holders.
We didn't just observe the challenges of AFSL compliance from the sidelines. We lived them. Our careers within ASIC provided us with a deep understanding of regulatory expectations, while our legal and consulting roles exposed us to the practical difficulties businesses face in meeting these ongoing compliance standards.Â

Co-CEO
Julia is a seasoned compliance professional who began her distinguished career at ASIC, where she developed a strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and supported AFS Licensees and financial advisers across the country. Her expertise was further honed through roles at Deloitte and Macquarie Private Wealth. With a deep passion for her field, Julia channeled her extensive experience into co-founding ComplianceCo and 3Lines. For nearly a decade, she has been pivotal in enhancing and supporting the operations of AFSLs and ACLs, demonstrating her commitment to delivering effective compliance and regulatory solutions. Her leadership and expertise continue to make a significant impact in the industry.
Eloise Somerford
Co-CEO
Eloise is a renowned Compliance and Investigative Consultant with extensive experience in financial and professional services, including roles at Deloitte, Ernst & Young, ASIC, and Macquarie Private Wealth. As a co-founder of ComplianceCo and 3Lines, she has demonstrated remarkable innovation and leadership, driving industry advancements with her strategic vision. Her qualifications as an investigator in Western Australia enhance her ability to tackle complex challenges with precision. Managing Director
Shelly brings extensive experience in delivering compliance services to AFSLs and ACLs. Her distinguished career includes roles as a Specialist Financial Services Lawyer, External Compliance Consultant, and in-house Head of Compliance. Shelly has skillfully managed operational compliance for various firms and provided intricate, high-level advice to a diverse range of clients. Her expertise significantly enhances 3Lines’ service offerings and reinforces its dedication to providing exceptional compliance support for AFSLs and ACLs. CTO
Glen is a tech leader known for founding and scaling Solv Solutions, one of Australia’s most impressive B2B tech companies. Glen’s vision led to the rapid growth Solv, doubling sales in its first few years and attracting major clients like Bunnings, McDonald's, and BHP. Under Glen’s leadership, Solv expanded into a leading workplace injury and safety management platform. In 2021, Solv was acquired by a US company—marking a significant milestone in Glen's career and today, Glen serves as our CTO and Shareholder, continuing to apply his visionary thinking and technical acumen to drive innovation and success. Glen’s entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to solving complex challenges have made him a respected figure in our industry.
