In 2015, our team formed from the core of Australia's financial, legal, and regulatory fields, banded together with a single mission: to simplify AFSL compliance. Our collective experience not only highlighted just how unnecessarily complex navigating AFSL compliance obligations is, but also ignited our passion for streamlining the process for Australian Financial Services Licence and Australian Credit Licence holders.
We didn't just observe the challenges of AFSL compliance from the sidelines. We lived them. Our careers within ASIC provided us with a deep understanding of regulatory expectations, while our legal and consulting roles exposed us to the practical difficulties businesses face in meeting these ongoing compliance standards.Â

Julia is an experienced compliance professional, beginning her impressive career at ASIC. It was there that she developed a keen insight into the regulatory frameworks, guiding AFS Licensees and financial advisers across the country. Her professional path led her to garner valuable experience at both Deloitte and Macquarie Private Wealth. With a deeply ingrained passion for her field, Julia then channelled her extensive knowledge and experience into the co-founding of ComplianceCo. and 3Lines, where for nearly a decade, she has been instrumental in supporting and enhancing the operations of AFSLs and ACLs.
Eloise Somerford, Director
Eloise is a seasoned Compliance and Investigative Consultant with a broad background across financial and professional services. Her career has taken her through esteemed firms like Deloitte, Ernst & Young, ASIC, and Macquarie Private Wealth. Co-founding ComplianceCo and 3Lines marks her latest venture, where her wealth of expertise is at the forefront of the business.
Eloise's status as a qualified investigator in Western Australia adds a sharp edge to her client-focused intuition.
Shelly Radford, Director
Shelly offers a wealth of experience in delivering compliance services to AFSLs and ACLs. Her impressive track record includes roles as a Specialist Financial Services Lawyer, an External Compliance Consultant, and an in-house Head of Compliance. Throughout her career, Shelly has adeptly managed operational compliance for various organisations and has provided intricate, high-level advice to a diverse clientele. Her expertise not only enhances 3Lines’ service portfolio but also strengthens its commitment to delivering exceptional compliance support to AFSLs and ACLs.
